IN LOVING MEMORY OF BILL , WILL MISS YOU , PRAYERS FOR THE CASWELL FAMILY.JON AND KITTY YOUNG
Caswell, William (Bill) Kenneth
"Mr. Bill" was a part of our lives for so many years, a life without him is a world void of a unique and entertaining soul. Mr. Bill was loved by us for the role he played as one of the "dads" and his ability to accept you into his life. He made you feel as if you always belonged. And he did that with an incredible sense of humor. He was amazing at delivering a one-liner or sideways comment so quick you couldn’t help but to explode in laughter. His beautiful presence will be missed. We know that no matter where he went and no matter where he goes now he will fly high in honor. We hope that contributions in his honor help to provide his veteran brothers opportunities they may not have had the chance to participate in. We love you Bill and we will surely miss you every day. Every time we see that Navy symbol we will think of you and smile because your ability to make us enjoy the moment will never be forgotten. The Pennells, Jeff & Adrienne and Our Children

I read of Mr. Fabela on foxnews.com - Mr. Fabela served in WW2 from 1944 - 1946, seeing combat on D-Day, and later having a large family and becoming a highly-respected member of his community. Mr. Fabela is turning 100 and wishes to receive 100 birthday cards to celebrate his milestone birthday. Not only will I send him a birthday card with my well-wishes but I also choose to honor this hero with a donation to Honor Flight. My prayer is that he is shown much love and appreciation every day (and not just on his birthday), that he can visit the National World War II Memorial someday (if he hasn’t visited it already), and that he knows how appreciated he is, including and especially by total strangers who grasp the monumental sacrifices he and his generation made for the world. God Bless you sir, and may you receive 100 cards times 1,000 and all the other wonderful blessings God has in store for you.Mrs. J.W. Gelhaye

Richard "Hambone" Nitowski passed away May 7, 2018. He was a Navy veteran, serving his country during the Korean War and his community with his service organizations. Richard received his BS degree from IUP and his Masters from Westminster College. He served the districts of Butler, Slippery Rock and Highlands as a teacher, principal and coach. Richard was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Parish, American Legion Post 48, VFW Post 894, Knights of Columbus Council 2602, and the Tarentum Eagles. His hobbies were many including bowling, golf, sipping on a green one, and of course his beautiful art. Many of his "masterpieces" hang in the local service clubs, area businesses and of course the walls of many friends and family. Richard adored his family, especially his 12 grandchildren in PA and VA, where he visited often and toured the DC memorials. He will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, as the"life of the party" and his zest for life.Your Loving Family

The Faculty Fellows of the Dale Center for the Study of War & Society at the University of Southern Mississippi make this donation in the memory of Thomas Swope of Mentor, Ohio--friend and supporter of the Dale Center. Tom worked tirelessly to honor and commemorate the deeds and actions of American service personnel, especially the men of the 103d Infantry Division of World War II. Mr. Swope produced a radio program called "Legacies, Stories from the Second World War" on WINT radio in Ohio and wrote a book of the same name. He was dedicated to helping veterans share the stories of their experiences and interviewed hundreds of World War II veterans. He was also major force behind having the 103d ID’s World War II archive moved to the University of Southern Mississippi, where it will inform and enlighten scholars forever. Robert Tatham was my grandpa, he proudly served in the marines and was at Iwo Jima. He was a kind, loving and generous man. He is still to this day an inspiration for the kind of man I want to be. A truly funny and witty man who never complained about hardships. He worked hard for his family, loved his wife without fail and raised his kids with love and humor. Often, after a loved one passes, we overlook any flaws and only say good things, but for Robert even in his life people only had good things to say about him. He served his country proudly, he served his family proudly and left a legacy of pride and love. I am forever thankful to have had the chance to be his grandson and to be able to pass his legacy down to my own kids and potential grandkids, he may have passed but his impact on so many people’s lives will live on far beyond his lifetime.Mike Hardin, and his great grandchildren, Aiden and Amelia Hardin
I am making this donation in honor of Robert Tatham better known to me as grandpa. My earliest memories of him are when him and my grandma would come visit us and we would have sleep overs in the motor home. We would play games and grandma would cook for us, it was an environment filled with love and happiness. As I grew older, I learned he had been in the army and fought in World War II and about the sacrifices he made. He never mentioned that he sacrificed time with his family for his country and when he spoke to me of his time at war, he spoke of how hard it was, but also with a tone of pride. When I think of him I think of a man who lived an honorable life, he was married for over 50 years and loved my grandmother so much it was the kind of love that people wish and hope for. He was extremely dedicated to his family and was a role model for us all. I am blessed to have known him and learned from him.Wendy Akers
I am donating this $100 in honor of my grandfather Robert Tatham who served in the Marine Corp. in World War 2 in the Pacific Ocean theater which included being involved in the battle of Iwo Jima and his services ended with the occupation of Japan at the end of the war and then returning home to his family after. He passed in 2017 shortly after his 93rd birthday. His love for his family and his wife Dorthy was something out of a fairy tale. I cannot put into words what he meant to our family and to say he is missed is and understatement but with this donation we hope that other proud veteran’s can visit the monuments that were constructed to honor their commitment and sacrifices for our country.Clancy Hardin

Leonard was first and foremost a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who was goodhearted and caring. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, and working in the flower garden with his beloved wife Marlene. In addition to all of the accomplishments Leonard had in his life that made his entire family so proud of him, we were all very proud of the fact that at the age of 17 he served his country in WW II as an M.P. in Hawaii. He will be missed by all who knew him.Loretta, Pam, and Randy
