HOUSTON – They served our country. Now, KPRC 2 is asking Houston to help us say thank you.

This month, KPRC 2’s Community initiative is partnering with Honor Flight Houston, an organization dedicated to honoring local veterans by giving them the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., and visit the memorials built in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

Our campaign, One More Thank You, will introduce viewers to the veterans behind the mission, share their stories and give Houstonians meaningful ways to get involved.

Honoring Houston’s veterans

For many veterans, an Honor Flight is much more than a trip to Washington. It is an opportunity to reflect on their service, remember those who served alongside them and experience the memorials created to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.

Throughout the month, KPRC 2 will share stories from local veterans and their families while highlighting the work Honor Flight Houston does to make these experiences possible.

We also want to help Honor Flight Houston reach veterans who may not realize this opportunity is available to them.

If you have a veteran in your family, neighborhood, workplace or community, this is a chance to learn more about Honor Flight Houston and help connect them with the organization.
